I am uncertain if this has already been covered, but…
I have taken over a website that employs the Astra theme on Elementor Free. http://www.heraldic-arts.com.
The client has decided they wish to use the Jevelin theme, which has been bought, along with WPBakery.
I am by no means a WordPress genius, but before I simply click the button to change the theme, I assume that there must be some “prep work” done so that everything doesn’t get lost in the process, or horribly mangled.
If there is any sort of guide for this, please do me the favor of directing me there.
Thanks!
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out!
You’re absolutely right, switching themes can sometimes cause layout or styling issues, especially when moving from Elementor (used in Astra) to WPBakery (used in Jevelin), as they are completely different page builders.
Here are a few tips to help prepare:
Unfortunately, there’s no automatic conversion from Elementor to WPBakery, but you can rebuild things gradually. If you’d like to test things first, consider setting up a staging site so you don’t affect the live site while working.
Let us know if you have any questions about the setup steps!
