Hi there, my website has suddenly gotten gaps between the articles on the portfolio page. You can see an example of this in the screenshot. I’m wondering if I could get some help in resolving this.

    Thanks

    Hi @cameronhr,

I’m getting an error when I try to install that theme:

Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.

Also – will I lose my style modifications or theme customization if I install the new theme?

Are you installing the above shared theme or the theme downloaded from themeforest?

If you are installing the theme downloaded from themeforest then please install it as described in the below page.

No, you won’t lose it If you have not made changes in the theme files.

Is there any way of fixing this without updating the theme? I updated following those steps and the formatting on the site got screwed up, I’m pretty sure I had changes in the theme files. I reverted everything back using a backup, but I’d still like to try to resolve this gap issue.

    Thanks

Sorry, but updating the theme is an only solution.

Please note you are making changes in the theme files, therefore, you have to make these changes again after theme update as changes made in the theme files get lost on theme update.

It is always recommended to use a child theme and make changes in it as described in the below page.
