Home › Forums › Jevelin Theme › Problem overlay image webp
Hi,
the problem occurs in the portfolio when clicking on the image with the webp extension. The overlay image is into an iframe, which doesn’t happen if the image is a jpg or png.
so the image does not take up the all space of the overlay window and you can see the white background and the edges of the iframe.
In “jevelin/js/plugins/lightcase.min.js” I tried adding webp at the line 120:
typeMapping: {
‘image’: ‘jpg,jpeg,gif,png,bmp,webp’,
but it doesn’t work.
How can you fix this?
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards.

Hello,
Thank you for the details!
Could you please share a link where we can see the issue live? That will help us debug it more accurately. Also, are you using any plugins or custom code to enable WebP support on your site? That information will help us understand how the images are being handled.
Looking forward to your reply! 🙂
Best regards,
Shufflehound Team
The site is under construction and not yet public. I don’t use any plugins for the images, so I upload “webp” directly to the media section.
I’ve encountered other problems:
It’s not possible to remove images from the gallery and also the backend editor doesn’t work; only the frontend editor works.
I’m attaching the screenshot.

Thanks for the reply.
I uploaded the files and tested them with the main and child themes, but it doesn’t work.
As you can see, the image is embedded in a simple href but when clicked, it opens an iframe (it almost seems like it’s behaving like a openig video).
Also, WordPress encountered this error:

Test: I send you an image taken from your site in webp format
to exclude errors in the image production
It seems that you can’t load webp images
