When i click on the product main image or any of it’s gallery images it opens a new tab with only the image. i would like to have it open in a lightbox and the ability to navigate to the rest of the gallery images.

I can see clicking on the image, it opens single product page and this is how it works.
You can either try using any of the following plugins or develop custom code to achieve what you want to.

Shufflehound teamWhen i check the Javelin template it works different the image opens in a lightbox but mine opens as a new tab.i can’t even exit unless i go back. i sent you a screenshot to show you the difference.the top image is the theme template the bottom part is mine.

It is not opening for me on new tab on your site but it opens single product page as shown in the attached screenshot.
Could you please share me Javelin template URL where it’s displaying as shown in your screenshot?

Then click on the product image it will open the image as a new tab and this is the link it will generate

instead it should open it as a light box.
now go to
click on the product image and you’ll see what i’m talking about.

Ok it seems you are talking about single product page.
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except woocommerce & unyson plugins and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.
Also please try resetting your htaccess file as described on the following pages.

That didn’t work. I installed the theme and didn’t make any changes and still having the same issue.

I can see you are using older version of Jevelin theme on your site.
Could you please update it to the following latest version?
I updated my theme and still having the same issue
After lot of troubleshooting i could confirm the bug on your site therefore notified the theme developer about this so that it will be fixed.
The issue will be fixed ASAP.
In the meanwhile i have resolved the issue on your site by editing following line of code.
'lightbox_woocommerce' => ( get_option( 'woocommerce_enable_lightbox' ) != 'yes' ) ? ', .woocommerce-page a[data-rel^="prettyPhoto[product-gallery]"]' : '',
The issue is fixed in the following latest version of theme.
Unfortunately this is not working for our site either – we have updated and removed all plugins – not working on the jevelin main site either – can you let me know where the code that you edited is placed please and we will attempt to fix
