Do I need to use another Word Press plug-in to create a sitemap which I can submit to Google for page indexing purposes – or does the Gillion theme come with its own, in-built site map?
If it has its own site map, please can you share the directory and filename for this file, so I can get my developer to look at it. He is not aware of anything at this stage.
Do we need to do anything with this site map (eg. physically activate or submit anything?), or will it provide all the data automatically to Google that it needs?

The theme does not generate sitemap as this is a functionality of plugin territory.
You can use below plugin to create sitemap.
