  • Hi, there I have tried to translate the Jevelin theme by installing 3 different plugins, all failed to do so.

    Can you please provide some assistance, so that in the future when theme gets updates, I will not lose the translations…

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards,

    Irene a.k.a. Pix

    Hi Irene,

    I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

    Could you please tell me which plugins have you used, how have you configured them to translate the theme and which sections of the theme or all not getting translated so that i can help you?

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

    Hi…

    I have tried:

    • Poedit (from my computer);
    • Codestyling Localization (appears broken);
    • MyWPTranslate (which normally always works).

    I would love to translate the comment-form.

    And please also, I have tried 3 different cache (Comet Cache, WP Fastest Cache and WP Super Cache) plugins, but they do not seem to make my site any real faster.
    Which one would you recommend? And should I readjust my images so that my site will be blazing fast? As was promised before I purchased your theme.

    Regards,

    Irene

    And can you please inform me why – everytime I make changes to the child’ style.css – both Firefox and Chrome are not showing changes. Only Safari does. Is your theme not compatible with Firefox and Chrome??

    This is very short description so not sure whether you have followed all the instructions.

    Please follow all the instructions as described on the following page to translate the theme.

    We recommend the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/ but it is not sufficient to make your site load blazing fast. Along with this you have to also implement the various solutions shared on the following pages.

    https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Optimization

    https://gtmetrix.com/wordpress-optimization-guide.html

    The theme is compatible with Firefox, Chrome and all other latest versions of browser. There are various reasons as following that can cause not to work your CSS code so please check it.

    1 Your CSS code is only compatible with safari browser.

    2 Clear your browser cache

    3 Clear the cache from (Comet Cache, WP Fastest Cache and WP Super Cache) plugins that you are using on your site.

    Really? W3TotalCache plugin has not been updated for four months.

    And since WordPress has, since been updated, it’s not a good recommendation!!

    It is not necessary to update the plugin when the WordPress updates if there isn’t any compatibility issue.

    Even the WordPress suggests this plugin please see here https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Optimization/Caching#Caching_Plugins

    This plugin is used on million websites.

    That ‘s just the problem. I’ve heard that W3TotalCache is not any longer the best one in town. Sorry.

    That’s up to you. you can use any caching plugin from https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/caching that you find suitable.

    Well, Hallelujah… here’s for some good news… I have tested my site, once again, this time with a GTMetrix account. The score appears to be very good indeed.

    And translations are now functional too. Thanks a lot…
