I logged into your site and found out that this is happening because the admin-ajax.php file is forbidden on your site as shown in the attached screenshot.
Please contact your web host to remove its restriction.

What should these permissions be on the file?
Its currently 0664 and I changed it to 0774 and 0777.
Still getting the same error.
I am reinstalling the website on a fresh version of WordPress will advise if I run into any other problems.

Kindly note that I managed to sort this out.
It was a Wordfence Security plugin on the other WordPress installation that caused the problem.
