I recently took over some sites that were using Jevelin, but they have been out of date for some time now. WordPress passed the theme in updates, so functionality was failing. Some sites require the database to be updated, however, this erases all the pages. I purchased Jevelin to test on a site to see if manually entering and updating the theme before the database would help since I couldn’t get into the wordress dashboard without updating the database. But I’m finding that it runs into the same issue. Is there a simple way of extracting the pages from FTP, and importing them on the site after I manually update theme? I also am quite new to FTP, so I’m not sure if I’m doing things right. The overall goal here is to update these sites without losing anything. What’s the best way of doing this without ruining these sites?

    Hi @IFIXTechnology,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Updating the theme do not modify any content on the website.

Please first take a backup of your website as described below before updating the theme and then update the theme on your website.

After taking the website backup, you can update the theme to the below latest version as described here https://support.shufflehound.com/updating-theme/
