Hi there,
I’ve got a problem with ‘read time’ indicator. It’s different on the let’s say homepage than in the article.
Please have a look:

Yes, I found a topic where you suggest to remove ‘read more’ tag to make it working correctly. However:
Do you have any other suggestion on how to fix that? Any plugin or something?
Kind regards,
Pako.
Hi Pako,
I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.
I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using the latest version of Gillion theme.
This can be due to plugin conflict on your site so please try temporary deactivating all plugins except Unyson plugin and WpBakery page builder plugins and see whether everything works fine and then enable the plugins one by one to see which plugin is conflicting if any.
Best regards,
Shufflehound team
Hi there,
Tried to do that, not working for me. Still showing 1 min in every post on the home page (and pages with posts too).
Pako.
Would you mind if I log in to your site and do some troubleshooting? If this is ok then could you please temporary share me your site admin log in details privately by adding them in the box having text “Enter your private content here (only you and forum moderators will be able see it)”?
Sure.
Please find details attached in the ‘private info box’.
Cheers.
I logged into your site and saw this is happening because of the Read More tag you have added in the content as shown in the attached screenshot, therefore, it only counts the words added before Read More rag.
Thanks for the reply.
As I mentioned in OP, ‘read more’ tag is there for a reason. Therefore, removing it is not the best option.
Any other idea how to sort it out?
Regards.
Currently, there isn’t any option to resolve it but I have created a feature request for it so that the option will be implemented in the future version of the theme to make it work with Read More tag.
Solution for this topic
The feature request is implemented in the below latest version of theme so please update the theme as described here https://support.shufflehound.com/updating-theme/
Please login to access this file
It looks like the latest update sorted the issue out.
Thank you. 🙂
You are most welcome here 🙂
