Then please create a blog page and set it as front page in your site Reading settings as shown in the attached screenshot.
You can remove it by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS code option of your theme on the below path.
Admin Area -> Appearance -> Theme Settings -> Custom Code -> CSS Code

You can try using any of the following plugins.
The above was a workaround solution and not foolproof solution.
I can see the javascript error message is till occurring on your site as shown in the attached screenshot.
It seems the plugins are conflicting with theme functionality on your site causing the issue so please contact the plugin developer to know why this is happening to resolve it.
We and many users are using the issue the theme on our site without any issue so not sure whether it is theme or WordPress site or Server related issue therefore we recommend above to increase maximum execution time allocated to PHP.
To know the bottleneck of the issue
Can you please try temporary enabling WP_DEBUG mode? To do this, just go to wp-config.php include this:
define('WP_DEBUG',true);You might already have a line for WP_DEBUG, so just make sure it’s set to true.
Let me know what errors if any you are getting when you face this issue.

Not full width but you can display maximum excerpt from theme blog settings as shown in the attached screenshots.
