I have tested it on my test site and it’s working fine for me using the latest version of the Jevelin theme.
I tried to access your shared website but just getting a message “Vabandame ebamugavuste pärast. Meie veebisaidil on praegu plaanipärane hooldus.”.
Please make sure that your website is accessible for me and also make sure that you are using the below latest version of the theme.

I could confirm the issue on my test site, therefore, I notified the theme developer about this so that it will be fixed.
The issue will be fixed ASAP.
In the meantime, you can resolve it by adding the following CSS code in the Custom CSS code option of your theme on the below path.
Admin Area -> Jevelin -> Theme Settings -> Custom CSS/JS -> CSS Code

Are you using the redux framework on your website?
If yes then please deactivate the Unyson plugin on your website as it conflicts with the Redux framework and check whether it resolves your issue.
If still the issue persists then could you please share your site URL where it’s happening so that I can troubleshoot it?

Yes, this is how the auto excerpt works.
You can also enter the post content excerpt manually in the Excerpt field of the blog post as shown in the attached screenshot so that it will display on the blog page regardless of Description Length.
To hide categories, you have to develop custom code in the child theme of the Jevelin theme.

On the demo content page there’s circles with checkboxes and WPBakery and redux had a lock with a circle checkmark.
Yes, it means they are required plugins as shown in the attached screenshot.
I’m not sure what content I’d like to add
I tried importing the Basic demo content but getting an error “Service Unavailable (503)”.
Could you please contact your WordPress hosting company because they may be able to pin-point what’s causing the issue?
Also WPBakery isn’t displaying on the top bar when I’m logged in so I can’t add my own content yet.
You can add the content from the pages section as shown in the second attached screenshot.

On your homepage, you have not configured the portfolio element to display the Schwerpunkte category so please configure it.
On the second page “Schwerpunkte” is hidden like I wanted, but some of my under categories are still missing.
What do you mean by under categories?

Also, please do not enable pagination for the portfolios as the code won’t work.
