The next step after successfully installing theme could be our demo content installation. We have two installation methods – legacy installation method (under Tools > Demo Content Install) and our new installation method (under Appearance > Import Demo Data). Main difference between the two is that our new installation method only adds content, but our legacy methods replaces it.
New demo installation method (doesn’t replace site content like pages, posts and images)
- Make sure that One Click Demo Install plugin is installed and activated (if it isn’t installed then you can install it under Appearance > Install Plugins):
- Go to Appearance > Import Demo Data
- Choose demo you would like to have, and press Install
- Confirm installation
- Wait untill demo is installed
Legacy demo installation method (replaces site content and could not work in some hosting servers):
- Go to Tools > Demo Content Install
- Choose demo you would like to have, and press Install
- Confirm installation
- Wait untill demo is installed
Notice: These two are completely different installation methods, so If one of them doesn’t work please try other one. Our new demo installation method should work in most cases as legacy installation requires more specific server configuration.
