Hello,
I am writing to report an issue with the Gillion – Multi-Concept Blog/Magazine Theme that I recently purchased.
At the time of purchase, the theme page on ThemeForest clearly states that Gillion is compatible with WPBakery Page Builder, and additionally, the theme appears in the WPBakery-related search and filtering results on the marketplace. Based on this information, I purchased the theme specifically to use it with WPBakery Page Builder, as required by my client’s existing workflow.
However, after downloading the theme multiple times (using “All files & documentation”), I have identified the following:
🔎 Technical findings
The downloadable package only contains:
gillion.zip
gillion-child.zip
Inside the theme files:
There is no gillion-core.zip compatible with WPBakery
There is no js_composer.zip (WPBakery plugin)
In the WordPress admin panel:
Elementor Page Builder is marked as REQUIRED
WPBakery does not appear as a required or optional plugin
The demo importer does not load WPBakery demos and only allows manual import
All these findings confirm that the downloaded package corresponds only to the Elementor version of Gillion, and that the WPBakery-compatible version is not included in my download.
⚠️ Problem
This creates a clear inconsistency between:
The information presented on the ThemeForest product page (WPBakery compatibility)
The actual files provided after purchase (Elementor-only version)
This issue prevents me from proceeding with a client project that explicitly requires WPBakery, and I have already invested significant time in technical verification and staging setup.
✅ Request
I kindly request one of the following solutions:
Access to the correct downloadable package of Gillion compatible with WPBakery Page Builder, including the required core plugin and demosor
Clear guidance on how to obtain the WPBakery-compatible version under my existing licenseor
If the above is not possible, assistance with an appropriate resolution according to Envato’s purchase and refund policies
I am happy to provide screenshots, URLs, or any additional technical details required to support this request.

Thanks for your detailed explanation. I understand why this looked confusing.
WPBakery is still fully compatible with Gillion. Elementor is currently set as the primary builder, which is why it’s marked as required, but WPBakery remains available as an optional page builder and works with the theme and demo content. It’s not included as a separate ZIP file in the download package because it’s installed via remote download from our servers. You can find it in Appearance -> Install Plugins, where WPBakery should be listed as an optional plugin.
If you don’t see it there, please check whether WPBakery is already installed and active, since in that case it won’t appear in the Install Plugins list.
