  • We are using “header 3” for our Gillion themed site and need to have a banner ad next to the logo in the header. Instead of using just one image and link (as we can within theme options for header 3 within the theme), is there an option to add shortcode there so we can feed in banner ads in that space with the WP Pro Advertising plugin we are using to manage our banner ads?

    Hi @starboardcreative,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Currently te theme doesn’t provide option to add shortcode there but we will consider this to be developed in the suture version of theme.

In the meanwhile to achieve this you have to develop custom code in the child theme of Gillion theme.

    Best regards,
    Shufflehound team

Ah ok. Quick question in regards to that and using the child theme then… we currently have Gillion installed, activated and have customized various things within the theme options. Since we’ve done all that, can we now install and activate the child theme? Or is it too late?

Yes you can use child theme if you have not made any changes in the parent theme files.

Yea, no changes have been made to the parent theme separate of just custom code added into the “custom css code” section within “theme options”. So should we just install the child theme and then “activate” it? Then make any changes to the child theme as needed to alter the header to add the banner ad shortcode there?

Yes you are right just activate child theme and make changes in its files.
