One last issue, when I’m using the built-in animation feature of WPBakery Page Builder:

If I use a fade-in animation, the content briefly appears before turning invisible and then fading in.

This can be seen with the buttons at the end of emeraldsustain.com/about

The text of that page is using custom animations, but the buttons use the default WPBakery.

Any idea what could be causing this? I’ve noticed it in a couple of other places on my site too.

    Thanks,

    Iarla

    Hi,

Apologies for the late reply, thank you for your advice.

I do have the latest theme installed, but the alt text for the image is not displaying in the header logo.

Also, how can I add alt-text for an icon that’s also a link (such as the social media buttons in the footer)? PageSpeed Insights is complaining that “Link text (and alternative text for images, when used as links)” is missing for the icons.

I can’t find any option for it in the page builder.

Updated log-in information is in the private field below if you need it.

    Thanks,

    Iarla

Also, the site logo in my WPBakery Header does not have the alt-text in the image tag, even though I’ve added alt text to the media in WordPress. This issue is not present for any other images on the site, only in the header.

    Thanks,

    Iarla

    Hi,

Two other questions regarding increasing the performance:

    1. In order to minimise Layout Shifts, I need to add a height and width attribute to the image in the header/nav bar, but I can’t find any options to do this in the WPBakery Page Builder.
    2. How do I add tags directly to images? I want to add ‘loading=”lazy”‘ but can’t figure out any way to add custom HTML directly to some image tags.

    Thanks,

    Iarla

Thanks for the help, I’ve fixed the problems by removing some unused JS.

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I need to use icons provided to me by a graphic designer, is there no way of uploading my own icons, even by adding custom css/php?

    Thanks,

    Iarla

    Hi,

    1. The new logo height css is perfect, thank you.

    2. In the Jevelin > Customize settings and WPBakery Header Builder settings the header background color is set to #ffffff, but it is still fully transparent on the mobile site. I would like to change it to solid white.

    Thanks,

    Iarla

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

The “Contact Footer” page in footers has minimal content so is perfect for testing, I’ve created a duplicate that you can use for trying fixes. The link is attached.

It’s the 3 icons on the right (LinkedIn, Phone, Email), they are inline but don’t respond to changing their alignment through responsiveness settings or any css that I’ve tried.

    Thank you,

    Iarla

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I’ve attached the log in details below, so you can access the website’s WP dashboard.

If custom CSS is needed, where is it added?

Let me know if you need any other details,

    Thanks,

    Hello,

The mobile allignment option now works on the emulator and on an actual mobile device.

My above issue about centering icons when they’re inline elements remains present however.

    Thanks,

    Iarla

    Hello,

I have had some success with solving the above issues, so for the sake of clarity I will just place all of the current issues in one place, here in this message. You can ignore the previous messages since your last reply.

    1. The responsiveness options in the WPBakery Header builder have no effect. Changing header height and logo size in responsiveness don’t affect anything on mobile or desktop, and no settings in Jevelin > Header change anything either. In order to change the logo size on desktop I need to change the actual size of the image, which is fine but then I have no way of having a different size for mobile.

    2. The background of the header on mobile is transparent (just shows the page body color), and no settings I have tried affect it. I currently have it set to #ffffff and fully opaque on both WPBakery Header builder and Jevelin > Header but it still just displays the page body color.

Please let me know if you need any other info to solve this, thank you very much for your ongoing support with the issue.

One other issue I have found, changing the dropdown color worked fine but the background color for the actual header on mobile is wrong. On mobile, the background for the header is just whatever the page body color is.

In the Jevelin > Styling > Heading settings I have Header Background Color as white and fully opaque. I have attached screenshots of the result.

    Hi,

I’ve tried that now, and it works fine when changing my desktop screen to emulate a phone, but it doesn’t work when I try to load it on an actual mobile device.

I’ve attached screenshots of both views.

Also, when an icon is an inline element the only way to change it’s alignment is by changing the text align field of the row it’s in. This is fine, however there’s no way to change that alignmnent for mobile, and adding a css class that changes the text align on mobile doesn’t do anything, even with !important after it. I have also added screenshots of my settings and css for this.

    Thank you,

    Iarla
