Hi – just to let you know WP Bakery backend editor is now also not working consistently on Safari. It works to begin with, then stops functioning after a few mins on both Chrome and Safari. FYI I’ve disabled browser extensions and using latest browser versions.
Frontend editor works fine using both browsers, so that’s what I’m using for now. Not urgent, but something isn’t right with the back end editor.
update – just tried in safari browser and it’s working fine.
problem was/is occurring with that little known browser called Chrome… you might want to look into that.
Hi there,
Thanks for this input but unfortunately carrying out the steps above including updating PHP, de-activating all but essential plugins and updating the theme and plugin still prevents me from adding any new elements in WP Page Bakery back end editor – clicking on the + symbols to add elements has no effect whatsoever. Please log in with the info previously supplied in PI to check from your end.
Thanks in advance,
Nic
Hi,
Thanks for following up – it’s working fine now.
Best wishes,
Nic
Solution for this topic
Hi there,
Flipper Code said they previously encountered a jquery error, although when they checked again this morning the error message was no longer there, and the map is now showing again as normal.
Have a good weekend.
Thanks,
Nic
Ok thanks for your help.
Hi there,
Thanks for testing this further. Using my example that I referenced in my original message, the click action now works but only at the first time of asking – if you go back to the first tab and click on the button in the second column, it will simply scroll down to the next section.
Thanks for looking into this,
Nic
Hi there,
Thanks for you’re feedback. I have to say I’m a little bit surprised to hear this would require custom development as it seems like a pretty basic feature for this particular element.
If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the point of each tab having a section ID?
Thanks,
Nic
Encountering same issue re. outdated copies of woocommerce template files.
Great, thank you – that’s worked a treat.
Hi there,
Thanks for coming back to me – I inserted that code into the custom code section but it hasn’t changed anything. I’m including my login credentials in PM. If you could take a look that would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Nic
Thanks guys, that has fixed the issue so feel free to close this query off.
Best wishes
Let’s hope SH release an updated theme version before Tuesday next week – the issue is clear and needs to be fixed ASAP. We’d appreciate a guide as to when this will be resolved. Having been hacked earlier this week due to the YellowPencil vulnerability, and now this, it’s not been a good week… Thanks in advance for your prompt updates.
Solution for this topic
Hi, this issue has now been resolved by deleting the Jevelin theme and then re-uploading it.
Hi there,
Thanks for your reply. I’ve just enabled WP_DEBUG mode and it appears to be an issue with the plugin I deactivated – can you let me know how I can resolve this from within my FTP? I can’t even access my wp-admin page as things stand.
Please click the link below to see the error message:
I’ll look forward to hearing back from you asap – wordpress login details in PM should you need them.
Thanks,
Nic
awesome – thanks very much for helping out so promptly. have a good day.
Hi,
Thanks for your message.
I’m not 100% confident that the issue you’ve identified is responsible for the problem, as the issue doesn’t affect other pages (e.g. try editing Home, it seems to work fine). It leads me to think it’s specifically related to an issue on the side-by-side page. Also worth noting that Yellow Pencil worked fine for a number of days on the side-by-side page.
Thanks for your help.
Nic
Hi,
It becomes unresponsive after less than 3 minutes – try carrying out a couple of actions/changes, and then it will become immediately unresponsive.
Thanks,
Nic
