Wow, my first message is now a mess.

So, I’ve added the above code in the private information field into my header so that the mailchimp subscribe popup does not automatically appear.

As per the instructions on this website:

    https://rahmanzeb.com/how-to-make-mailchimps-popup-window-appear-with-click-only/

However, I have no idea how to add the specified “show-popup” ID to a button to make it work as you have to add a url link to a button?

    Can you help please.

It is for the “ABOUT ME” button at the top of the page on the website in the private information field.

    Thanks!

    Hi shufflehound,

Thanks so much for your reply.

It seems to have been working fine for the last couple of days so I’ll leave it for the time being.

If it starts to happen again, I’ll post back in here and give you access so you can take a look.

    Thanks for your help!

    Ben

    Sorry – it’s not fixed.

The original issue is still an issue, even with the changes I mentioned above.

Could I have some help please!

    Thanks!

I seem to have got around this now by setting a max width and turning on the “full width” option for the button.

It now seems to be appearing as it should so no need for further help at the moment.

    Thanks anyway!

I’ve had a look into this and installed the “classic widgets” plugin which appears to have resolved this now. Thanks for your help anyway.

    Hi,

The Jevelin theme I’m using is 5.2.2 which is the latest version as far as I’m aware.

    I’ve attached a screenshot.

    Fixed again!

    Sorry!

    I’ve now figured it out.

However, I now have a white banner across the bottom of my homepage with a “});” in it.

Do you know how I can get rid of this?

    Thanks.

    Solution for this topic

After spending quite a bit of time searching on your forums, I actually found the answer.

To anyone else that wants to hide the entire “row” (not just the elements inside the row) from a certain device, click this link:

    Thanks anyway!

I’ve just tried that and whilst it’s changed the colour of the text in the dropdown options – it’s also changed the text colour of the field names to black which means they’re invisible.

    See the screenshot below.

Like in the screenshot, I want those options in the dropdown to stay black, but i want the names of the fields to be white.

Is it possible to have them a different colour?

And I’d like to know how to enable the “shadow” features in WP bakery please.

It says they’re disabled and I can’t work out why.

    Thanks for the reply.

    OK, understood about yellowpencil.

However, I think I’ve overcomplicated this.

If we can forget about yellowpencil – what would be the best way of creating a background colour in WPBakery that ends up with it looking like the last image attached.

(So the colour doesn’t fill all the way to the bottom of the column).

That should solve everything for me then.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

OK, sorry – I’ve attached the screen shot of how it actually is on the site now.

It looks right on the desktop version because I’ve manipulated the margins etc. but it doesn’t work at all on mobile.

What’s the better way of creating the same look?

I’m thinking it might be to just upload a JPG as the background with half white and half black – but then that might not work on mobile?

I’ll also revert back to using WPBakery page builder, I didn’t realise you shouldn’t use yellowpencil with that.

However, for some reason the option to add shadow to my columns is disabled – but it lets me add shadow in yellowpencil.

How do I enable the shadow features that are currently locked in WPBakery as well?

    Thanks

    Ben
