Okay. In the meantime, could you revert the changes you made? The formatting is still a little messed up.
I’ll investigate the custom code, thanks for the suggestion
Thanks
Hi there – I appreciate the help.
Unfortunately I’ve just checked and the issue is still there for me even after clearing both my browser cache and server side cache. Also – all my custom CSS on that page is gone. I had to add some of the CSS back just so that my site isn’t screwed up for too long since its public. But when I tried adding all my custom CSS back, the formatting gets messed up and doesn’t look like it did before.
I am using server side cache but I tried disabling it and the same issue remains.
Thanks
Hello, sorry for the delayed response. I’ve tried disabling all the plugins except WPBakery and Unyson, and the problem persists.
Please advise
Thanks
Sure no problem.
Thanks
I just renamed it to jevelin child beta for organization purposes, it’s the same theme that you send me to use.
I reverted it because I didn’t want a site with completely broken CSS and formatting to stay public for very long. I’ve switched it to the updated version now for you to troubleshoot
Thanks
Yes, I reverted back once I tested the new theme without success
I just tried those steps, and the new version of the theme produces the same issues.
Hi, I appreciate the response. I’m not sure if you read my whole post though. I have many changes to the theme files, and last time when the other representative suggested updating themes, my site formatting got messed up and I had to do a full site restore from a backup though my hosting provider – so updating the theme isn’t a great option for me. Are there any other options?
Is there any way of fixing this without updating the theme? I updated following those steps and the formatting on the site got screwed up, I’m pretty sure I had changes in the theme files. I reverted everything back using a backup, but I’d still like to try to resolve this gap issue.
Thanks
Thanks for the reply
I’m getting an error when I try to install that theme:
“Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php
template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css
stylesheet.”
Also – will I lose my style modifications or theme customization if I install the new theme?
Is there any way I can change it from being alphabetical? It’s pretty important for me to be able to decide which one gets displayed. If not, is there a way to manually change the text displayed for each specific item? Maybe with html or css?
Thanks again
What I meant was: Could I have a filter titled “New York Times” or something else, but have it not show up along the top row of filters on the portfolio page? The resulting effect would be that I could have one of the portfolio items have “New York Times” as the label under the title, but I don’t want it to have a filter option for “New York Times” along the top row of filters.
Does that make sense? I know it’s confusing, sorry.
Awesome, thanks so much. Is there any way that I can have a portfolio filter exist, but not show up in the top row of filters on the portfolio page? I assume not, but figured it was worth asking.
Thanks again, you’ve been incredibly helpful
Great, thanks. This is super helpful. One more thing – is there any custom css or visual editor options that you could provide that would allow me to remove the header chunk highlighted in the screenshot? It’s taking up a huge amount of space and is unnecessary.
Thanks again, Cameron
