You can use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/ to update the theme but before updating take backup of your site from Tools -> Backup so that if anything goes wrong then you can restore it.

You have to enable it in the page builder settings and then use it post editor visual page builder mode as shown in the attached screenshots.

You can try achieving this by using the attached small plugin specially developed for you that contains some custom code.
In the recent version of theme we have just renamed Single page layout field to Portfolio layout as shown in the attached screenshot but its functionality is same.

I was troubleshooting the issue on your site but as i don’t have your site FTP details so i was making changes from wp editor which caused Internal server error on your site.
Could you please resolve it by resetting htaccess file as described on the following pages?

This is happening because you are linking your menu links as internal page links therefore the page doesn’t get reloaded and mobile menu doesn’t close.
We can develop custom code to close it on mobile if you are comfortable with it.

I can see it got removed on your site as shown in the following screenshot.
Please test it clearing your browser cache or using different browser.
Is there a way of being able to control the layout of this whole page with Visual Builder?
Currently not. We can only hide some elements on the page and change its appearance by developing custom CSS code.

To use Visual Builder for creating portfolio page, you have to enable it in the Page builder settings as described in the following topic.
