I logged into your site and resolved the issue by adding the following code in the functions.php file of your child theme.
function custom_gillion_general_setup(){ add_image_size( 'gillion-landscape-large', 9999, 9999, true ); } add_action( 'init', 'custom_gillion_general_setup', 9999 );And added below CSS code in the style.css file of the child theme.
.post-gallery-item .sh-ratio-content { background-size: contain; background-repeat: no-repeat; }Could you please confirm it?

You don’t need Yellow pencil activation code to use it.
Just delete the existing plugin and install the latest version of it from Admin Area -> Appearance -> Install Plugins

The drop out menu doesn’t fall directly from below the text it drops from the end of the header. (ref: img1.jpg)
This is not an issue but this is how the theme menu works which you can see on the below demo site.

On the cart that activates on hover, i would like to remove and modify some texts, and also change the background color without changing the color of the other drop menu. (ref: img3.jpg)
You can try changing the color or removing the text by using Yellow Pencil editor as described in the below page.

That portfolio functionality is provided by the Unyson plugin so there isn’t any way to modify it without custom coding.
Is 790px by 790px the maximum resolution allowed to maintain the quality within the portfolio section?
No, as said above you have to use the image having a width to 790px or less than it.
