We inspected this further and unfortunately, it seems that custom theme file modifications will be needed to achieve it. There are multiple files that contain this functionality including inc/helpers_blog.php, single.php, comments.php, and more.
If needed we can offer paid theme customizations.

It seems that you had a pretty old Slider revolution version, which was causing the issue. So we updated it and now it should work fine.
We also noticed that the theme version is pretty old and the WPBakery page builder version could also be updated.

You should be able to change it by editing the front page in the WPBakery page builder and changing the background image for the first row.
