Thank you, the css code helped.

Hopefully you will remove this bug with the next version update of the theme, so we are not reliant on the custom css 🙂

Also, I would appreciate if you can consider the Mobile/Tablet tables and buttons layout improvements highlighted in my original message.

An idea: The “Proceed to Checkout” button can instead of being centred can be stretched end to end (justified?) within that column which would align it with all other elements in the column for all devices, and that will also fix the responsive issue.

    Thanks for the support.

    Hello,

sorry I did not share the basics, see below.

Any page on the website listing a product exhibits the clipping of the sale baloon currently. e.g.

    https://gkauthentic.com

    https://gkauthentic.com/shop/

    https://www.gkauthentic.com/shop/doreanse-underwear-1590-hipster-trunk/

    etc.

FYI only, below I’m quoting some additional feedback from the Hosting company support team during the troubleshooting steps, which may be useful for your future development roadmap as it implies that JS minification and render blocking Optimisation technologies are not supported with the Jevelin code at present.

“Prior to making any changes, I have inspected the website and the 404 errors for the combined files are still present which further indicates an alternative caching besides our plugin which saves the combined files.

(index):367 GET https://www.gkauthentic.com/wp-content/uploads/siteground-optimizer-assets/siteground-optimizer-combined-css-c6e898a1e0dc808dc7f8c95b99e91df7.css net::ERR_ABORTED 404After flushing the core WordPress application cache, the issue was no longer present.

Following that, I have activated the SG Optimizer and investigated the cart related issue. The issue seems to occur due to the theme’s JS files not being compatible with the JS combine feuture and additionally, the cart data refresh seems to require JS files which are detected as render-blocking to load initially before the first print.

In order to prevent the issue from occurring, I have turned off the Combine JavaScript Files feature and excluded the “woocommerce-free-shipping-bar” plugin’s JS from the Defer Render-blocking JS feuture. Once done, the items added to the cart were saving and processing normally.

Please clear your browser’s cache and cookies and re-test the website from your side as well.

For continuation on this one, I’m currently working to disable any caching ( Cloudflare CDN) service for my site as I’m still seeing some odd behaviour taking place and some 404 page loading errors of *.css elements on page load.

The outcome of these issues at present for example is that my WooCommerce “Header” basket option, works on desktop but does not work on mobile (Android 10 + Chrome), despite all time browser cache flushing. Tapping the basket button in the header on mobile on any page does not get registered as an action request, yet if I manage to get to the basket itself via an alt. link, then pressing the basket button in the header refreshes the basket page!

once necessary DNS changes have propagated to allow me to switch of the CF CDN proxy, I will be in a position to flush browser cache again and test to see if the remaining page load errors + issues browsing are negated.

    Hello,

I have done all browser cache flushes, several times. The issue resided elsewhere.

on this occasion, the hosting provider Optimiser plugin (SG Optimiser) and possibly the connected Cloudflare CDN service was serving some page content incorrectly! However, this was causing a different problem, e.g. “added items to basket, get a success message that items are added, but when going to basket, the basket is empty”, along with various other page loading errors.

With the SG plugin disabled, the basket issue has been resolved.

The footer issue however persisted, until I disabled the “Paralax” loading in the backend options of the Theme. This behaviour may be due to the fact that pages are currently loading much slower on my website due to hosting/backend issues and the cache plugin which must be resolved first.

    Thanks for the assistance anyway.

    regards

On further investigation, I thought that either Jetpack or the SG Optimiser plugins had something to do with it, but after disabling them for over 24hrs the issue persists.

At this point I’m really confused. If I open the developer options (console) in the browser and load the page, the footer is rendered. If I close it then hit CTRL+F5 then the page renders without the footer. I’m seeing this across all browsers now and across multiple computers/browsers variations.

On mobile (Android Chrome) it displays the footer fine.

I attempted to add a new page ‘404-page’ which is now not rendering a simple Unison section background image added to the page, yet the image url and everything appears in the code and can be manually accessed on demand.

All other functions appear to be working as expected.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello,

thanks for the feedback, but I feel the CSS solution is a band aid.

I sent another message today which seems to not have been registered or was deleted.

Basically, I highlighted that the current page layout duplicates data in several places and can be simplified in its layout/presentation. The attached screenshot shows the current outputs with the CSS applied on Mobile and Desktop (Screenshots 1 & 2).

The attached word document shows the current layout highlighting duplicated items and how the whole page can be simplified whilst removing duplicated items.

Please consider this improvement in your roadmap, it will benefit existing and new customers, and more importantly the clients where all the funding comes from.

Thanks. I have added the CSS in the section requested and will test the outcome later and revert with the outcome.

Presumably this can be added as a permanent bug fix to a future update of the theme once its confirmed that it works?

    Hello,

I could have a god myself if I knew which page I need to customise?

When I attempt to “edit” this page = https://gkauthentic.com/checkout/order-received/7513/?key=wc_order_nvRRE80M8I10s&utm_nooverride=1 I’m redirected to = Capture1.png (Checkout page). When I load the checkout page in YP, the view is different as it loads the default blank checkout page = Capture2-png, not the completed order page with the extra rendered tables, therefore it isn’t clear  which element if any on that page requires adjustment, or if its even the checkout page that requires the adjustment and then how.

The Jevelin theme is advertised as responsive is it not? In this case one element as highlighted is not behaving in a responsive manner….

I’m happy to put the effort in to resolve the issue, but I require more detailed assistance from the experts who understand the structure better than myself.

    regards,

    George

    Hello,

I disabled the SG plugin earlier today and just not made another transaction. The exact URL on mobile is as listed below. This is essentially the landing page confirming that an order has been placed/accepted.

    https://gkauthentic.com/<wbr />checkout/order-received/7513/?<wbr />key=wc_order_nvRRE80M8I10s&<wbr />utm_nooverride=1

The first table is still formatted all over the place. Two additional screenshots from this transaction for reference are attached.

    Hello,

    thanks for the prompt response.

I’m already running v 4.8.4 (see attached). Is the beta version you attached an uprev of v4.84?

I will disable the SG plugin and attempt to capture the URL when I make another test transaction later on from a mobile device. Please bear with me for the details on this.

    Thanks for the other suggestion.

    Kind regards

    Thank you for the response.

I went with the woo-multi-currency version (licenced). It works nicely with the theme, but currently causing a REST API error on my website, probably requiring update to work with WP5.5.

Also noted issues with the current version of jevelin but will raise a separate request for this.

    Hello,

thank you for the prompt response. The theme is already @ v.4.6.6.

Disabling all plugins (other than Woocommerce) doesn’t change anything. I cant disable Woo because then I cannot test since the share feature is listed only on product pages which cannot be accessed with Woo disabled.

Link below, but any page in the shop can be used.

    Hello,

I’m sorry I cant provide you with that information unfortunately.  I paid someone to have a look and find the problem and fix it for me, the person involved only stated that its a PHP error in the code (not in the child theme which I’m running).

He may be able to advise of the file concerned but I may incur additional charges and I don’t feel that it is my responsibility to pay for establishing development bugs/errors on your behalf. I would have thought that you can trace this down given that the whole backorder code/logic has been provided for you.

    Hi,

just wanted to get back to you on this issue.

We have now solved the problem. The fix was to download the two images from the site, then re-upload them into the media library and assign them into the slider as new image layers.

Although Im still unsure why the issue occurred, it is possible that the images in the library were corrupted or modified unknowingly in some way to throw the PHP errors I showed earlier.

Thank you for the support and wishing you and the team a happy Christmas and NY celebrations!

    Hi,

I’m still working with the developer, although they are suggesting the issue is related to 2 images held in a folder called shop_slider, as shown in the attached screenshot.

It isn’t clear to me who provided this design element, Themepunch or Shufflehound. In any case, I’m not interested in assigning blame, I simply wish to solve the issue and move on.

So far we have narrowed it down to two images in that folder. The support guy @ Themepunch is asking me to upload the images again, but since they came as part of the theme, I do not have any source copies of those image files. My only option is to download the copies from the existing directory then upload again, but I’m not sure what this is likely to achieve. Attached are the problem images I have extracted from the directory….frame.png and sale.png.

I will attempt as requested, but would have been preferred to use a difference source for the images.

    Regards

    george
