Oh, we haven’t really tested it so, it is possible that the CSS part wasn’t included there.

Theme modifications via customizer are stored in the options table (one field per theme).
Option name should be theme_mods_jevelin

Yes, we haven’t changed it since the latest post.
Thought WordPress have some own sizes and plugins like WooCommerce can add some more.
Also for the image to crop successfully the image width and height should be larger than the crop size.
