We tested Jevelin 5.4 with the newest WP and WPBakery page builder versions and it seems to work fine.
Maybe you have access to the PHP log so that we can figure out the issue?

If the issue is only for older images (added before the installation) you can try to use Force Regenerate Thumbnails by regenerating all the small images for all the images.

About the dropdown color you may try to change it under Jevelin SettingsΒ (at the topbar) > Styling > Dropdown / Menu (section) and try to adjust colors there for your liking.

Should be fine as currently there are only two changes different from the latest stable version.

Yes, sure you can roll back the previous version if needed. There are no real differences between beta and production other than this version is not yet tested by theme users.
We made some changes on our end and the copyright formatting should work better with this update.
